“Hold on there boy, you can’t pass through here. This here passage is for the people who have been already approved, know what I mean?”
Not, not ex-exactly, sir. See I thought that…
“Well see now boy that’s your problem right there, you’ve been thinking.”
I thought, I mean, I believe that, as I have read and learned from watching, that anyone who really wants to can go right on up the road, all the way to the top sir. And that’s what I’m meaning to do.
“Well now…”
Really mister. I’ve been struggling seems like my whole life now and it’s finally time to break loose, know what I mean, sir?
“What?”
It’s like, well, I finally and I mean after years of hard work, determination, learning and applying that learning, I found the road that my passion could run on. So sir, instead of bumping up against yet another wall my passion just busted through the walls in front of me and I kept on going to where I could see the top of the hill you know, where the “goodness” lies!
“Well now…”
I can feel the warmth, the white heat of the higher passion, emanating from the top of the hill. I can’t quite see it yet but I believe it’s there, heck I know it’s there because sir, if I can think it and believe it, why I’ll see it!
“You may have something there son, yet still, I can’t let you pass here, you just plain out have not been approved.”
Approved?
Approved by w, uh whom? Whatever…
“Why the people of the Valley” son, you know, the Ghost people.”
G- ghost people?
So that’s what’s been holding me back. So how do they do it?
Do they put up walls so that no matter how hard I push, shove and run ahead, I keep banging- POW!- head on into those walls? Is that it mister?
“Nah, no need for any of that son, why it’s the walls in your own mind boy. You know, those thoughts you think… ‘I can’t do it’, ‘I’m not good enough’, I’m nothing but a failure’, I’ll never make it up and through’. Why it’s those thoughts son, the thoughts in your own little mind. The space between your own ears. Ha!
Remember that train you used to play with when you were just a tiny tyke, Thomas it was. ‘I think I can, I think I can’, and time and again that little train kept chugging along and finally he arrived, well darn, he arrived at the station, you know.
You learned back then, heck you were only two but you knew what it was… ‘If I think I can I will and if I think I can’t I also will’. It’s the law son, the law of the mind. Always remember that, ‘Thoughts Are Things’ boy and you’ll be alright. Yep, you will surely get there- in due time.”
So, I sit here and think. “What should I do?” Mister reminds me of my earliest thoughts and teachings, the way I should go but then he doesn’t let me pass! It just doesn’t make sense, no sense at all. How am I supposed to think my way through these darn Walls?!

Woah- where did that come from? It, it came from me. From my inner me. The same one inside me I’ve known from the beginning of time. Well not all time, just my time, my beginning.
