NEW YEARS EVE
New Year was approaching of this no doubt,
Barkeep-drinks for all ale and stout,
If called upon to drive friend and foe alike,
Be sure to observe every stop sign and light,
For if you do not the stage will be set,
A night’s stay in jail your act will beget,
Do reveille in cheer this evening for sure,
Do not drink and drive or a cell you’ll endure.
